The "Pearl Ring" is one of my art jewelry works that challenge the relationship between name and reality, as well as the concept of trust and promise within intimate relationships. You may wonder where the pearl is, but if I tell you that the pearl is hidden within the gold ball, will you believe me? You will have to trust me, as you will have no way to truly know. In addition to the promise of a hidden pearl, the glossy 18k gold ball invites the wearer to peer into its surface for a distorted reflection of their surroundings. Moreover, the ring band is designed as intricate thorny rose canes. It is a dance between trust and curiosity, where the allure lies not only in the elusive pearl but also in the ever-changing, distorted perspectives encased within the golden promise.
